Graphite is not an ideal medium for tracing as it can be hard to remove and leaves unsightly marks. Learn a new and repeatable way of transferring artwork with which does not damage the original or intended painting.
In this class you will learn how to make your own loose transferring pigment out of readily accessible materials. You will learn how to transfer your design before understanding the importance of inking your design.

Required Materials:
- Template (Sent in an email prior to class)

- Masking tape (low tack)
- 2 sheets tracing paper (A4 or 27 × 11.69 inches)
- 2 sheets of A4 (8.27 x 11.69 inch) 300gsm hot pressed water colour paper.
- Indian miniature brush OR any other good quality, Kolinsky sable watercolour brush in sizes 00, 1, Click to see an example.
- Walnut or Oak Gall ink (Can be homemade)
- Charcoal sticks
- A porcelain pestle & mortar
- 2B, HB pencil, Ruler, eraser and sharpener
- A ceramic palette with wells or an old ceramic porcelain/china plate

All levels of experience and ability welcome.
Is there any preparation?
All participants will receive an email prior to the workshop if preparation is required.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting slightly messy. Avoid wearing: Baggy clothing (especially sleeves) and Loose jewellery.
