During this class you will prepare any paper surface(s) ahead of painting. 


Learn about different paper choices, understand how to strengthen, stain and size and get your surface ready for painting.

In this class you will learn different recipes and methods of application. You can expect to prepare several different papers.

Use these papers either for the unit two module, or have them ready for a future painting.

* can use Cowrie shell, With Cowrie shells and marble/agate eggs, you have to make sure they're smooth. It's difficult to recommend without seeing or feeling them. I have bought Cowrie shells online, and have linked one here,

Hemp paper* (optional) can use jute paper in place. 
Overall non essential if can source hot pressed watercolour paper.

Is there any preparation?
All participants will receive an email prior to the workshop if preparation is required.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting slightly messy. Avoid wearing: Baggy clothing (especially sleeves) and Loose jewellery.
