Wasli refers to a technique of strengthening papers. The process makes the paper suitable for all water-based mediums, including: Natural pigments, Watercolours, Illumination (gold work), Gouache, ink, calligraphy, geometry and acrylic painting.
Yasmin's Wasli paper is made using two sheets of paper that has been carefully prepared in her London studio. As this process is done by hand, irregularities and imperfections can occur. This sample 'pack' contains two sheets of wasli which are not suitable for fine/high end work. They may be suitable for sketch, collage or experimental work. Work in which textured paper is desired, or undesirable areas can be trimmed down and used for finished pieces.
In this sample pack you receive TWO handmade Wasli in following measurements:
3 sheets at 28 x 38 cm. Imperfections include: wrinkling of paper, staining, imprint of bubble wrap on one sheet.
