In order to encourage the mind to thrive, it is recommended you slow down and meditate on your ideas and drawings. Yasmin’s role here is to guide and advise you through the process of creating your own Indo-Persian miniature work. After prompts, instructions and demonstrations, you will be left for timed periods to focus on developing your sketches and allowing your creativity to flow uninhibited. During these periods, Yasmin will take a step back from actively teaching – instead she will be available to answer any questions that arise, and through the use of ‘break-out rooms’ she will be able to use these periods to look at your works individually, offering guidance and advice on your compositions and ideas.
Live attendance is encouraged, but you will be able to follow along with the recordings.
Skills you can expect to learn/gain:
- How to take a source of inspiration and expand upon it, develop it into a sketch/working design.
- How to compose proportional drawings for a balanced drawing.
- How to gain a basic grasp of colour mixing. Forming a comprehensive palette from a limited range of colour.
- How to help plan what and where to lay your colours.
